Sustainability
Sustainability
The most sustainable bag is the one you never need to replace.
That belief sits at the centre of every design decision we make, from the materials we choose to the way we design for versatility. A bag that earns its place in your daily life, works across every occasion, and holds up for years has a fraction of the footprint of something cheaper you'll replace next season.
We don't claim to have sustainability solved. We claim to take it seriously.
Honest materials
The exterior of our current range is made using GRS-certified recycled rPET, post-consumer plastic given a second life as a durable, water-resistant material. The rPET polyester in our bag exteriors is certified by Intertek (G27913), confirming the authenticity and traceability of the recycled content.
To be clear about what that means: our exteriors are certified recycled rPET. Our interior linings and internal padding are regular polyester. We'd rather tell you that upfront than claim more than we deliver.
We chose rPET for our exteriors because it performs. It's durable, consistent, and keeps plastic out of landfill. It's a good starting point, not a final answer. As we grow, we continuously evaluate materials for longevity and performance across every component. If a material genuinely outlasts rPET and reduces overall impact across a bag's lifetime, we'll use it. Longevity is sustainability.
We will never use materials that look sustainable on a hang tag but deteriorate within a season.
Thoughtful packaging
Orders are shipped in plant-based, 100% home-compostable mailers from Hero Packaging and Heaps Good Packaging. They break down naturally in a home compost within 3 to 6 months. No microplastics, no industrial processing required, no residue.
We chose compostable over recyclable deliberately. Recyclable packaging still depends on correct disposal and industrial processing to avoid landfill. Compostable packaging removes that dependency entirely.
Small batch, made to order
We work in small batches with a manufacturing partner that shares our values. Materials are purchased to order, which means less waste, less excess stock, and a more considered production process from start to finish.
You may notice slight colour variations between production runs. We think that's a fair trade.
Our ongoing commitment
We are a young brand on an honest journey. Our commitments are straightforward:
- Choose materials based on longevity and performance, not just certification.
- Partner with ethical manufacturers.
- Reduce waste at every stage of design, production, and fulfilment.
- Continue to explore sustainable and innovative materials as the brand and the industry evolve.
This is not a destination. It's how we work.
